We're family-owned, not corporate-owned. Founder Karen Keller started Generation Hospice in 2008 and Generation Home Health in 2013 after seeing firsthand that many companies in this industry didn't meet the standard she'd want for her own family. That standard still guides every decision we make today.

Not necessarily. Call us first — we can help coordinate with a physician if you don't already have one involved.

No. Consultations and assessments are free, with no obligation to move forward.

How is care paid for?

Most home health and hospice care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance. Our team reviews your specific coverage with you before care begins, in plain language.

How quickly can care start?

Home health typically begins within 24–48 hours of a completed referral and assessment. Hospice care can often begin the same day in urgent situations. If your situation feels urgent, let us know on your first call.

Yes. Care plans can change as needs change, and patients can stop hospice and resume curative treatment at any time, for any reason.

Yes, and we encourage it. Many families call just to understand their options before any decision needs to be made. There's no pressure and no wrong time to ask.

How do I know if my loved one needs home health or hospice?

That's one of the most common questions we get, and there's no wrong way to ask it. Generally, home health supports recovery and improvement, while hospice supports comfort when curative treatment is no longer the goal.
